Carlos Kravetz, the literature. He believes in a modification of language. For him, the techniques should adapt to the continuous search of the artist, and this is one of the foundations of the growth of a painter. He includes fragments of songs, poetry or texts from the Bible in his paintings. Sometimes in Spanish, sometimes in English or Hebrew, because he thinks that we live in a world of words, and though painters are people of images, image and words cross each other all the time. He never writes the whole text, not because of the lack of space. He shows only a fragment because he thinks the work of art is a fragment of the artist. There is always more than what is represented. "The work is like a clipping, like a gift we give", he explains, and he adds that the work is a continuation of his life, the way a person´s children are. Creation is a way to establish a dialog with the other people, to create new relationships. So, art is for Kravetz a way to research in what we are and who really appreciates this effort can enjoy the work, the emotion suggested by it, and the artist´s thoughts.
